Manchester United will aim to make it four Premier League wins in a row under interim manager, Michael Carrick when they host Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford today.

The game kicks off at 12:30 GMT (1:30 pm Nigerian time).

United sit fourth in the table and have enjoyed a resurgence since Carrick took charge on January 13 following the departure of Ruben Amorim.

The former United midfielder has overseen victories over city rivals Manchester City (2-0), Arsenal (3-2) and Fulham, lifting the mood at the club and earning him a nomination for Premier League Manager of the Month for January.

A win against Tottenham would equal United’s longest winning run in the league since early 2024 and keep them firmly in contention for a top-four finish and Champions League qualification.

Carrick, who played for Tottenham between 2004 and 2006 before joining United, has played down talk of a permanent role despite the results.

“Nothing’s changed, no,” he said ahead of the game. “The results over a short period of time don’t change that. It can’t be so knee-jerk.”

He added that he is “loving what I’m doing” and “feels at home” but understands the club’s process for appointing a long-term manager.

Tottenham travel to Manchester in 14th place with 29 points from 24 games (7 wins, 8 draws, 9 losses).

They have won just two of their last 15 league matches and continue to be hampered by injuries, though they remain unbeaten in their last four outings and possess a solid away record — five of their seven league wins this season have come on the road.

Danish coach, Thomas Frank, who joined Spurs from Brentford in the summer of 2025, faces a difficult test against in-form opposition.

United have described the visitors as a “tough test” with dangerous attacking players despite their inconsistent season.

Other EPL games today include Bournemouth v Aston Villa, Arsenal v Sunderland, Burnley v West Ham, Fulham v Everton, Wolves v Chelsea, and Newcastle v Brentford.
