Welcome to a brand new edition of our weekly spiritual tonic, TOTAL EXPERIENCE. We have been excitingly inundated with praise reports of the great things the Lord is doing through the vehicle of this platform. We trust that better days are unfolding for the people of God and you will be a partaker in Jesus Name.
INTRODUCTION:
In this edition we want to begin the series on the theme EMPOWERED TO BE FRUITFUL. Straightway, there are two fundamental ideas and concepts in the theme we must grasp in order to fully appropriate. The first is understanding our empowerment, which simply refers to what we as Believers have received capacity to be and to produce. Understanding this makes the issue of fruitfulness not a struggle or trial and error, but a matter of living out your revelation. Then the second issue is fruitfulness. The capacity and grace you have received as a Believer is not to be small, narrow or little. It is a supernatural capacity or endowment to be great and to multiply that greatness.
Let us begin by looking at some scriptures that establishes from the onset the truth we intend to communicate.
GENESIS 1:26-28 (KJV)
26 “And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth”.
GENESIS 17:6-9 (NLT)
6 “I will make you extremely fruitful. Your descendants will become many nations, and kings will be among them!
7 “I will confirm my covenant with you and your descendants[a] after you, from generation to generation. This is the everlasting covenant: I will always be your God and the God of your descendants after you.
8 And I will give the entire land of Canaan, where you now live as a foreigner, to you and your descendants. It will be their possession forever, and I will be their God.”
9 Then God said to Abraham, “Your responsibility is to obey the terms of the covenant. You and all your descendants have this continual responsibility”.
LEVITICUS 26:9-12 (AMP)
9 “For I will turn toward you [with favor and regard] and make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will establish and confirm My covenant with you.
10 You will eat the old supply of [abundant] produce and clear out the old [to make room] for the new.
11 I will make My dwelling among you, and My soul will not reject nor separate itself from you.
12 I will walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.
These scriptures above emphasize basically the facts that you and I were created to be fruitful. Fruitfulness is part of God’s design, plan and purpose from the beginning. Fruitfulness is our wiring. These scriptures also reveal the truth that God Himself is committed to help us to be fruitful. In other word, God committed Himself to use His capacity as GOD to make you and I fruitful. It simply shows that if we understand God’s plan for our lives and decide to plug into Him, nothing and nobody, not even the devil can stop our fruitfulness. This is the revelational key that unlocks the potentials to a massively fruitful future.
The question to begin with then is, what is this fruitfulness that God is so committed to in our lives?
WHAT IS FRUITFULNESS?
Fruitfulness is a state of being extremely productive or prolific. Fruitfulness means to be fertile.Fruitfulness means to be productive in abundance. It means to produce beneficial results.It means to produce useful results. In fact, to be fruitful means to be resultful. It means to be successful. It means to be prosperous. Being fruitful means to be progressive in everything you do.
Right from the beginning of creation, God initiated the covenant of fruitfulness to terminate every form of barrenness, unproductivity, emptiness and hardship. The intention and design of God for man to be abundantly fruitful are exposed in the scriptures sighted above ( Genesis 1:26-28; 17:6-9; Leviticus 26:9-12).
Every word of God is a revelation of the mind of God and the possibilities attainable to the Believer in Christ. Every word of God is creative, prophetic, powerful and incorruptible. Every word of God is a settled spiritual reality according to Psalm 119:89. “For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven”. Then in John 6:63, the Bible quotes Jesus saying, “…the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”. It simply means God designed you to be fruitful and by extended implications, He has put inside you all it takes to be fruitful and generate results here on earth. Anything outside fruitfulness, maybe, barrenness, smallness, retardation, stagnation, etc is an attempt of the devil to put you out of alignment with the plans and purposes of God for your existence here on earth.
The Bible tells us in Isaiah 8:18, “Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion”.
It shows that God created and empowered you to be fruitful here on earth. No one knows a product like its manufacturer and just like the manufacturer test every product before putting it on the market, God tested you in heaven before you were delivered on earth. You were not just sent here, you tested positive to fruitfulness, anything contrary to that is an error.
Barrenness, failure, or defeat in your life does not profit God; neither is He the One behind your unfruitfulness. Many Christians have settled for barrenness, struggles and defeats in life, but these are not God’s agenda for the redeemed.
Your captivity, defeat and failure in life is not from God. The redeemed has a new life in Christ, the life of dominion, success and productivity. 2Cor.5:17 tells us, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”.
The true essence of Christianity lies in understanding that it is not a religion but a divine relationship with God. When you discover Christ dwelling within you, you live a glorious life fulfilling God’s purpose and producing results. We are not ordinary people, your life isn’t empty, there is a treasure in you, the treasure of power, dominion and glory.
Fruitfulness is both a covenant and redemptive right of the Believer in Christ. However, to access the abundant realities of fruitfulness, certain demands must be met. In the subsequent editions, we shall outline what it takes to enjoy a life of fruitfulness. Please don’t miss it.

The best gift of life is time. The best gift of time is now. The best use of now is the decision to secure and prepare for eternity.
