The Emir of Yauri in Kebbi State, Dr. Zayyanu Abdullahi, has lauded Governor Nasir Idris for approving N50 million for the procurement of modern royal boat.
The approval was announced at the turbaning ceremony of Dr. Yusuf Tanko-Sununu, Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction as Danmadamin Yauri at the palace of Emir of Yauri, Yauri Local Government Area, yesterday.
The Emir had also turbaned Bala Ibn Na’Allah, former senator representing Kebbi South as Bauran Yauri and Alhaji Adamu Muhammad-Birnin-Yauri, member representing Ngaski at the House of Assembly as Lifidan Yauri.
He thanked the governor for the execution of developmental projects in his domain, which according to him, cut across different sectors.
He urged all traditional title holders to work together towards sustaining the prevailing peace in the area and appealed to all to support policies and programmes of government to enable it effectively deliver the dividends of democracy.
Sununu, who spoke on behalf of others, thanked the emir for finding them worthy of the title and promised not to disappoint him and the people of the area.
He assured the readiness of the newly turbaned to collaborate with the state government and other individuals to bring positive development to the area.
