Mrs. Beatrice Mojirola Olatutu Adeniji (née Orisaleye), a distinguished education administrator and lifelong teacher, is being celebrated as she marks her 83rd birthday on December 12, 2025.
Generally referred to as “Ayoni,” Mrs. Adeniji dedicated over four decades to shaping Nigeria’s educational landscape, culminating in leadership roles across Lagos State.

Her career began in 1966 at Iwo Grammar School, where she served as a teacher and House Mistress. Following a brief period as a Medical Interviewer at the University of Lagos College of Medicine. She returned fully to education, taking on roles at CAC Grammar School, Ibadan, and the revered CMS Grammar School, Bariga, where she taught for ten years (1974–1984).
Adeniji’s administrative leadership took root in the mid-1980s. She was promoted to Vice Principal at Awori Comprehensive High School, Ipaja, in 1986, and later served as the Head of Service (Personnel) for the Agege Local Education District in 1989.
Her commitment to school governance saw her rise to the role of Principal at Sasa Community High School, Alimosho, in 1993, and subsequently at State High School, Oyewole, in 2000. She held the latter post until her voluntary retirement from the Teaching Service in December 2006.
Beyond the classroom and administrative offices, Mrs. Adeniji played a vital role in professional bodies. She served the All Nigeria Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), Lagos State Chapter, holding the positions of Financial Secretary (2003) and Treasurer (2005–2006), reinforcing her dedication to educator advocacy and accountability.
