Eagles to play for late Pa Ighalo

Watford of England striker, Odion Ighalo and his Super Eagles team mates  Brown Ideye, Ogenyi Onazi, will on Sunday at the Navy play ground in Ajegunle,  lace their boots in honor of late Pa Paul Ighalo who died on April 25, 2016.
Other players expected in the match tagged ‘Ighalo and Friends versus Ajegunle All Stars, are Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Isreal  player, John Ogu, Raheem Lawal who plies his professional trade with Osmanlispor of Turkey and  Qatar SC midfielder, Babatunde Michael.
Addressing Sports writers yesterday in Lagos, Odion Ighalo revealed that his  late father impacted so much in his football career, adding that the event is also an avenue for him to give back to the society.
“After the international friendly game in Luxembourg I told my friends about it and most of them gave their words.” “I want to create a forum to  tell the world about my father’s  exit and to bid him the final farewell because I and my team mates would not be around for the final burial rites,” Ighalo said.

Meanwhile, Ighalo  has expressed shock  over the sudden death of former Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi.
Signing the condolence register at the  Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN ) Lagos State chapter secretariat, Odion described Keshi as a father to many of the countries’ young generation of players.
“I am still in shock, Keshi was a good and nice man, he was like a father to many. May his soul rest in Peace”, the Watford striker wrote.
