President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to provide additional relief materials to over 700 households affected by the 2025 flooding incident to cushion the effects of the disaster. The state has already commenced distribution of the materials received.
This is as the state government expressed its gratitude to the president for ordering the provision of additional relief materials and an empowerment package for the victims of the 2025 flooding in the state.
The Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Special Duties, Auwalu Danladi Sankara, while addressing newsmen at the flag-off of the distribution exercise of the additional relief materials in Dutse, described the delivery of the intervention materials as a classical example of the president’s care, love and compassion for the people of the state and Nigeria under all conditions, and of his unwavering commitment to pursuing their betterment in all ramifications.
Sankara recalled that when the flood occurred last year, the state government, through the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), swung into action and distributed relief materials to the victims within days.
