Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE has entered into an exclusive partnership with Premier Product Marketing LLC, a subsidiary of global petrochemicals giant Vinmar Group, for the international distribution of Dangote Polypropylene™ outside Nigeria and Africa.

The agreement comes alongside the commencement of polypropylene production at the Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals complex in Lekki, Lagos, a facility widely regarded as one of the most advanced in the world.

The plant deploys INEOS’s renowned INNOVENE technology to manufacture premium polypropylene grades used across diverse sectors including packaging, automotive, textiles, and construction.

“We’re pleased to partner Vinmar to introduce Dangote Polypropylene™ to the global markets,” said Hajiya Fatima Aliko Dangote, Group Executive Director (Commercial), Dangote Group. “The Dangote Polypropylene will follow other Dangote products to become a global brand known for quality and reliability.”

Echoing the sentiment, Vishal Goradia, CEO of Vinmar Group, remarked: “We are proud to expand our relationship with Dangote through this important partnership. Valued at $2 billion, the Ibeju-Lekki-based petrochemical plant is designed to produce 77 different grades of polypropylene, with a production capacity of 900,000 metric tonnes per annum. The facility is expected to generate an annual turnover of $1.2 billion and is strategically positioned to meet surging demand across global plastic processing industries.
