Customs wins IPRA Golden World Award

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has won 2024 Golden World Award (GWA) scheduled to take place in Belgrade, Serbia.
The International Public Relations Association (IPRA) announced the NCS as the winner of its GWA in a letter signed by the Secretary General of IPRA, Philip Sheppard, which was addressed to the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi.
In the letter, which was made available to Saturday Sun, IPRA pointed out that the NCS campaign entry: “100 Days of Impactful PR at Customs Service, won the crisis management category of the Golden World award.
The letter reads: “I am delighted to inform you that your campaign entry: “100 Days of Impactful PR at Customs Service”, is a winner of the Golden World Award (GWA) of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA).
“The campaign of the Nigeria Customs Service, which was carried out in collaboration with its Image Merchants Promotion Limited, won the Crisis Management category of the award.
“You and your team are therefore invited to attend the IPRA Golden World Awards Ceremony. which will take place at the Metropol Palace Hotel in Belgrade, Serbia, on Friday, October 18, 2024, the letter reads.
However, the Secretary General of IPRA, Philip Sheppard,said that the annual IPRA Golden World Awards initiative was established in 1990, adding that it recognises excellence in public relations practice worldwide in 60 categories.
He added that the recipients of the award take particular pride in the recognition granted to their entry as meeting international standards of excellence in public relations.
“An overall IPRA Grand Prize for Excellence is presented each year to the entry and is judged as representing the year’s highest standards. congratulations, once again,” he said.
