The Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide has rounded off its 85th Annual Conference and Convention with major infrastructural inaugurations, leadership elevations, and renewed calls for unity and national peace. The week-long event, held from November 2 to 9, 2025, attracted thousands of delegates from Europe, America, Canada and across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria.
The conference, described by organisers as one of the most well-attended in recent years, provided a platform for worship, spiritual reflection, and strategic engagement on the growth of the Movement.
In his remarks, the Supreme Head (Olori) and Spiritual Father of the Church, His Most Eminence, Prophet Dr. Emmanuel Abiodun Adewale Alogbo, JP, FNACM, D.D.M, said the convention remained a testament to the grace of God and the resilience of the Church over the decades.
A major feature of the gathering was the unveiling of several infrastructural projects, including residential quarters, guest houses, a modern lawn tennis court, a volleyball court, and staff conference quarters. Church authorities noted that the projects were executed to improve accommodation, welfare and administrative efficiency.
According to the leadership, the new facilities form part of ongoing efforts to modernise the Church’s infrastructure and enhance the experience of members and visitors during major programmes.
One of the high points of the convention was the high-rank Apostolic ordination, during which more than 800 members were elevated into various leadership offices. The newly conferred ranks include Most Senior Special Apostles, Senior Special Apostles and Special Apostles.
The event also featured Posthumous Awards and Elevations for notable past leaders whose contributions helped shape the Movement’s identity. Among those honoured were Special Apostle Prophet G.O. Fakeye and Special Apostle Prophet Akinrele, the first Supervising Prophet.
The Church further announced the inauguration of seven new Districts and 22 new Model Churches and Parishes across different regions. Leaders described the development as part of a deliberate strategy to strengthen evangelism, pastoral care and administrative reach.
Delegates also participated in a series of sporting competitions designed to promote fellowship and healthy competition among ministries and councils.
The Prophetic Council emerged champions of the football tournament, while the Evangelical Council and Pastoral Council finished second and third respectively.
In the maiden edition of the Baba Aladura Lawn Tennis Tournament, Most Senior Special Apostle Evang. Engr. Emmanuel Aderemi Awode emerged winner. Officials disclosed that the tournament is part of preparations for the forthcoming AYO Ni O Professional Sports Teams, an initiative aimed at encouraging youth participation and talent development within the Church.
In his closing message, the Supreme Head declared the 2026 Church Year as the “Year of Great Mercies,” calling on members to approach the new year with renewed faith, deeper commitment, and expectation of divine visitation.
While acknowledging what it described as socio-economic improvement under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, the Church expressed concern over persistent cases of violence and displacement affecting Christians, particularly in parts of the South-South, Kaduna and the Southern region.
It urged government at all levels to intensify efforts to protect lives, promote justice and ensure peaceful coexistence across the country.
With its blend of spiritual engagement, leadership elevation, infrastructural growth and social advocacy, the 85th Annual Conference and Convention reaffirmed the central place of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide in Nigeria’s religious landscape.
Members dispersed to their destinations with renewed commitment to service, unity and the pursuit of the blessings promised in the incoming Year of Great Mercies.
