Bishop Eyoanwan Otu, wife of Cross River State Governor Senator Bassey Otu, has hailed her free medical outreach as a beacon of compassion, health, and hope.
Speaking at the 6th edition, launched at Obudu German Hospital in Obudu Local Government Area on 19 April 2025, she noted its impact.
She said, “The outreach has recorded significant achievements, including 572 surgeries, 1,263 eye treatments, 603 dental cases, and 743 lab investigations, with 11,123 beneficiaries receiving care.”
Otu thanked Governor Otu for his support and Faith Care International for extending the initiative across the state’s three senatorial districts.
Obudu Local Government Chairman, Hon. Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, praised the outreach, while Special Assistant NGO, Jeffrey Adamade, noted its benefits for vulnerable groups.
Faith Care International’s Nigeria Director, Dr Monday Yilkudi, lauded Otu’s passion, and Commissioner for Health, Dr Egbe Henry Ayuk, said the outreach transcends state borders.
