COVID-19: Farm4Me donates preventive kits to Benue community, builds bridge

As part of its contribution to the fight against coronavirus and to cushion the effects of the lockdown by the Federal Government, the management of Farm4Me has distributed free facemasks and hand sanitizers and other items to Tse Amouka community in GWer West LGA, Benue State.

The company also, as part of its corporate social responsibilities is currently building a bridge that connects the community to Makurdi for economic activities.

CEO of the company, Mr. Adama J Adama, made this disclosure while briefing newsmen on Wednesday in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

“Our passion is to ring positive social impact to our host communities,” he said.

On why he donated preventive kits to the community, the young farmer said, “Coronavirus is real; there is no doubt about that. We need to do all we could to prevent it from spreading into our community.

“Some of the precautionary measures advised by medical experts include wearing of face masks, constant sanitization of hands and social distancing. We donated those items to help fight against further spread of the disease in our country.

“We are also building a bridge that connects the agrarian community to the the state capital, Makurdi as part of  our corporate social responsibilities. We hope to do more as God empowers us,” Mr. Adama said.

 The outfit is on the mission to put smiles on the faces of smallholder farmers, create jobs for vulnerable women and youths and make decent profit for working class Nigerians.
