CBAAC, Rwanda strengthen ties through creative, cultural integration

The Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilisation (CBAAC) has forged a strategic partnership with Rwanda, aimed at integrating African arts, history and civilisation into education, trade and tourism.
According to CBAAC Director General, Aisha Adamu Augie, key focus areas include cultural exchange programmes that will incorporate African arts, history, and civilisation into education to promote cross-cultural understanding and creative economy aimed at leveraging cultural entrepreneurship to enhance trade and investment and heritage tourism.
At the meeting, Augie presented publications from CBAAC’s library, including, ‘Cultural Renaissance’ and ‘Teaching and Propagating African Culture and History to the Diaspora,’ to Rwanda’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ambassador Christophe Bazivamo.
Bazivamo said the partnership would foster cultural understanding and appreciation, enhance economic growth through cultural entrepreneurship and preserve African cultural heritage.
