Secondary School Students across the twenty one Local Government Areas of Anambra state converged for the 2024 Best Brain Contest (BBC), ready to battle it out for academic supremacy.

In a thrilling display of academic prowess, contestants who came over 30 schools in Anambra State gathered at the ASUBEB Hall in Awka for the 2024 Best Brain Contest (BBC), now in its fourth edition.

The competition was conducted in two phases: a written test, followed by an oral test.

The written test was used to select the top six contestants from each category – Igbo and Mathematics – who would proceed to the oral test.

In the oral test, the selected contestants delivered an exceptional performance that tested their knowledge, speed, and accuracy.

The questions were challenging, but the contestants were well-prepared and showed remarkable composure under pressure.

In the end, Miss Maryann Nkemelu of Mater Amabilis Secondary School, Umuoji took top honors in the Mathematics category, while Miss Chikaodili Obiekezie of St. Patrick’s College, Awka excelled in the Igbo category.

Both winners were overjoyed as the went home each with the sum of two hundred and fifty thousand Naira only and thanked the organisers of the contest for the opportunity to showcase their academic prowess.

The organizer and Chief Executive Officer of Best Brain Contest, Dr. Frank Igbojindu emphasized the importance of education to children saying that it is the bedrock of every society.

He appreciated the sponsors of this year’s BBC contest, IG Aguowo Health and Academic Foundation, and Akpoazaa Foundation for their support.

Dr. Igbojindu promised will incorporate federal and state universities in the South East in addition to Secondary Schools in the south East.
