The soothing rhythm of reggae will once again meet the power of purpose as Irie Vibes Festival returns for its eighth edition on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Freedom Park, Broad Street, Lagos Island, from 7:00 p.m.

This year’s theme, “Saving Lives, One Woman at a Time,” captures the soul of the event, a vibrant fusion of music, art, and advocacy aimed at raising awareness about women’s health and offering free cervical cancer screening for women.

An initiative of Shimmers Services and 09.16 Enterprise, Irie Vibes has grown into a movement that blends entertainment with social impact. Since its inception, the festival has used reggae’s message of consciousness and healing to promote preventive health and women’s empowerment.

According to Festival Coordinator Lucia Ikediashi, “Irie Vibes is more than a concert; it’s a rhythm with a mission. We’re creating a joyful space where music heals, educates, and saves lives.”

Guests at this year’s edition can expect a rich blend of live reggae and Afro-fusion performances, dance, live art, and spoken word, all set beneath the Lagos night sky. Attendees will experience an evening where rhythm meets responsibility and art inspires awareness.

Supported by Lagos Fringe, Freedom Park Lagos, Nebula, Lasena, Sportdotcom, Kiss of Death, Penrated Arts, NATOP, and others, Irie Vibes 2025 continues to show how collaboration can drive both creativity and compassion.

As part of the Lagos Fringe’s “Fringe Nights” lineup, the festival cements its reputation as a platform where culture meets care.

More than just a concert, Irie Vibes 2025 is a call to action, a reminder that music can heal, inspire, and save lives. With every beat and every screening, the festival reaffirms its message: when rhythm meets purpose, change happens.
