EMT Foundation founder receives Community Impact Award in US

Founder of the Esther Matthew Tonlagha (EMT) Foundation, Asst. Pastor Mrs. Esther Matthew Tonlagha, has received the Community Impact Award at the AFRIMMA MusicFest Live in Dallas, Texas, United States.

The award recognises her contributions to community development, empowerment and the creation of opportunities for vulnerable and underserved people.

The EMT Foundation, in a statement celebrating the recognition, described the award as a tribute to Tonlagha’s humanitarian work and commitment to improving lives and strengthening communities.

It said her vision of empowering individuals and creating sustainable opportunities had extended beyond Nigeria’s borders.

“From empowering lives to creating opportunities and building stronger communities, the vision continues to make an impact far beyond borders,” the foundation said.

According to the organisation, the recognition celebrates not only Tonlagha’s personal commitment to humanitarian service but also the impact of the foundation’s programmes and initiatives over the years.

Congratulating its founder, it declared: “Your impact speaks for itself.”

Through its humanitarian and community development programmes, the EMT Foundation supports women, children, youths and other vulnerable groups, with interventions spanning education, healthcare, empowerment and sustainable livelihoods.

The foundation said the international recognition would further strengthen its resolve to pursue its humanitarian vision under its motto, “Give to Gain.”
