Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has called on the spiritual leaders across the country to be patriotic and selfless by contributing to solve the array of challenges confronting Nigeria.
He noted that the roles of spiritual leaders in nation building are indispensable, and of great importance, urging them to offer spiritual leadership and direction.
The governor made the call during the induction service of the sixth LAWNA territorial chairman and national vice president, Pastor Gabriel Okpako Uyeh, and the second LAWNA territorial vice chairman, Pastor David Ajibade, at the Apostolic Church, Nigeria, LAWNA territory, Lagos.
Abiodun highlighted the ongoing efforts to improve the country’s economy and emphasised the church’s significant role in this endeavour.
He called on the new chairman and vice chairman of the church to serve God, and also look after the church under their care.
Governor Abiodun, who was represented by his Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Olaolu Olabimtan, disclosed that the appointment of the two men of God was a testament to their unwavering faith, dedication and commitment to the principles and practices of the church.
He called on everyone to renew their dedication and commitment to the work of God, calling on members of the Apostolic Church, Nigeria, LAWNA territory, Lagos State, to support and cooperate with the new leadership of the church.
In his address, the newly inducted sixth LAWNA Territorial chairman and national vice president, Pastor Uyeh, while thanking God for the opportunity to serve the church in his capacity, declared that he would continue to submit to the will of the Almighty God at all times.
