Ahead of the 2018 African Women Championship, Super Falcons coach, Thomas Dennerby has earned his first win as the African champions pipped Queen Scorpions of Gambia 1-0 in Banjul.

Dennerby’s first outing with the Nigerian girls was the international friendly with France senior Women team that saw Falcons battered 8-0 at the MMArena in Le Mans on April 6, 2018.

Amarachi Okonkwo, who plays for Nasarawa Amazons, scored the lone goal in 19th minute of proceedings at the Baku Independence Stadium to keep hope alive for Falcons.
