In a bid to reward “Can Do Spirit”, of men and women who have made significant impact in insurance industry amid Nigeria’s hostile business environment, Almond Productions Ltd has unveiled nominees for its 2023 awards in various categories.
At a press briefing in Lagos, the Chairman of the Awards Panel of Judges, Ms. Prisca Soares, listed Insurers that made it under Life Insurance Company of The Year to include Mutual Benefits Life Assurance; Coronation Life Insurance; AIICO Insurance; Sanlam Life Insurance; African Alliance Insurance; Capital Express Assurance; Old Mutual Nig. Life Insurance; Custodian Life Assurance; Zenith Prudential Life Insurance; and LASACO Assurance Plc.
In the General Insurance Company Category, NEM Insurance; Coronation General Insurance; AXA Mansard Insurance; Custodian & Allied Insurance; Anchor Insurance; Leadway Assurance; and Cornerstone Insurance Plc, were nominated.
For Micro/Takaful Insurance Coys of the Year: Goxi Microinsurance; Noor Takaful Insurance; Hilal Takaful Nig and Salam Takaful Insurance made it, while Insurance CEOs of the year nominated were: Kunle Ahmed, CEO- AXA Mansard Insurance; Tope Smart, MD/CEO, NEM Insurance; Tunde Hassan Odukale, MD/CEO, Leadway Assurance; and Augustine Osegha Ebose, MD/CEO, Anchor Insurance Company Ltd.
Ms. Soares, confirmed that BOFF & Co. Ins. Brokers; Y.O.A Insurance Brokers; Scib Nigeria & Coy; Golan Heights Ins. Brokers; HOGG Robinson Nigeria; FSL Insurance Brokers; and ATIAT Insurance Brokers, made the nomination list for Insurance Broking Coys of the Year, while Mr. Oreoluwa Ebuoluwa Olarinmoye –CEO BOFF & Co. Ins. Brokers; Mr. Shola Tinubu, CEO- Scib Nigeria & Coy; and Mrs. Enitan Solarin, CEO- Y.O.A Insurance Brokers, were nominated as Insurance Brokers of the year.
Meanwhile, Fola Daniel, CEO – FBS Reinsurance Ltd and Lawrence Nazare – CEO of Continental Reinsurance Plc, were the two CEOs for Reinsurance CEO category of the Year.
Slated for November 3rd in Lagos, winners in various categories will be based on the decision of voters who forms 60per cent of the judging process while collated Data from the regulator -NAICOM will balance it up.
