The Anambra State Women Association, Lagos State (ASWAL) has launched a N200 million project fund for the building of its permanent site in a bid to reposition the association and move it to greater heights. The association, in the same vein, bestowed awards on some deserving sons and daughters of the state.

The fund raising and award ceremony, which held recently in Lagos, was graced by royal fathers and  prominent individuals.

The ASWAL President, Mrs. Rita Okolie, who has been working tirelessly with her executive to ensure the association realises its dream of building its permanent site, said they have “embarked on some laudable projects and now we want to consolidate our vision by building a befitting permanent site for the association.”

She called on well meaning sons and daughters of Anambra State to key into the visionary project by giving their financial support.

Those decorated with Awards of Excellence include Mrs. Christy Ray Okoye, Chief Executive Officer/Founder, Rayne Oil & Gas, Lagos, and Chief Mrs. Chizoba Malize, the astute Diamond Mother of ASWAL.

Among dignitaries who graced the occasion and were also honoured with the Award of Excellence at the ceremony were royal fathers, Eze Jossy Egwuatu, Eze Ndigbo Surulere;  Prosper Chukwuka, Eze Ndigbo Amuwo Odofin/Festac.

Also present at the well attended event was Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Anambra State Government, Mr. Leo Chiegboka.
