Member, representing Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Akarachi Amadi, has reaffirmed his commitment to delivering meaningful development to his constituents, using infrastructure delivery and empowerment.
He said his recent Mbaike mega empowerment programme is a clear demonstration of his promise to provide democracy dividends.
Speaking during the initiative recently, he said the programme forms part of a broader strategy to improve livelihoods, stimulate local economic growth and strengthen grassroots development across the constituency.
The lawmaker, who has consistently positioned himself as a results-driven leader, emphasised his determination to redefine representation by prioritising infrastructure development and human capital empowerment.
“Three years into my tenure, expectations are being matched by a growing portfolio of projects, programmes and interventions that reflect a governance style rooted in impact,” he said.
At the empowerment event, hundreds of beneficiaries received a wide range of items including minibuses, tricycles, motorcycles, power generators, sewing machines, deep freezers and agricultural equipment. In addition, substantial cash grants were disbursed to support small businesses and other income-generating ventures.
He noted that the initiative was designed to address unemployment, support entrepreneurship and enhance the capacity of constituents to become self-reliant in the face of prevailing economic challenges in the country.
Describing himself as part of a new generation of leaders, the lawmaker highlighted the significance of performance-based leadership in contemporary Nigerian politics.
“As a young politician and one of the youngest members in the Green Chamber, my approach reflects a shift in expectations of public office; one that prioritises outcomes, responsiveness and a direct connection between governance and the everyday realities of the people,” he stated.
Elected at the age of 28, he said his emergence in national politics came with high expectations, adding that he has focused on delivering measurable results rather than relying on political seniority.
“Apart from being judged by age or experience, I have been assessed on my capacity to deliver. I remain committed to raising the bar in terms of performance and service to my constituents,” he added.
He explained that his governance philosophy is anchored on translating campaign promises into concrete achievements, stressing that representation must go beyond rhetoric to real impact.
He said his approach reflects a broader generational shift in Nigeria’s political landscape, where younger leaders are increasingly taking on prominent roles and delivering results.
