Arewa House in Kaduna will host Nigeria’s top dignitaries on Saturday, May 10, for the 10th Authentic News Daily Awards and Lecture, organised by the Kaduna-based media outlet Authentic News Daily.
Amos Ebute Mathew, Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, said in a statement that preparations for the event, starting at 10:00 AM, are complete.
Expected guests include First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, former Kano State Governor and 2023 NNPP Presidential Candidate Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani. Also attending are Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and retired Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, former Chief of Army Staff.
Other notable attendees include Senator Abdulazeez Yari, former Zamfara State Governor, Honourable Bello El-Rufai, representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency, Reverend Joseph John Hayab, Chairman of CAN (19 Northern States & FCT), and Comrade Abdulgafar Alabelewe, Chairman of NUJ Kaduna State Council.
The event will feature a public lecture themed “Religion as a Tool for Peace and National Unity”, a first for the awards.
Organisers said Senator Oluremi Tinubu will receive the Authentic Woman of the Year 2024 award. Other awardees include Engineer Musa Nimrod, Dangote Group, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Senator Abdulazeez Yari, and NIMASA.
“The Authentic News Daily Awards continue to recognise outstanding individuals and organisations contributing to national development, peace, and unity,” Ebute said.
