A prominent community leader in Enugu State, Dr. Jerry Onuokaibe, has lauded Governor Peter Mbah for his transformative infrastructural projects in Mburubu, describing the development as a new dawn for the community.

Onuokaibe, who is the chief executive of First Choice Afro Villa Limited and Mburubu Construction Company, made the commendation in an Easter message, noting that the governor’s efforts have rekindled pride among Mburubu indigenes.

“Our returning sons and daughters are not just home to be with family, they are witnesses to the transformational leadership of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. His efforts have reached even our smallest communities, proving that no part of the state is being left behind,” he said.

He praised the ongoing road construction projects, including the Mburubu–Nara-Nkerefi Road and the Nomeh–Mburubu–Nara link road, saying they are “opening our town to commerce, development, and easier access to basic services.”

Onuokaibe also noted the construction of a modern hospital in the village, saying, “The type of hospital being constructed in our village is the first of its kind. This is giving our people a chance to live longer and healthier lives.”

He commended Mbah’s broader infrastructural agenda, which includes the construction of 74 urban roads in 2024 and the continuation of 141 roads in 2025.

“Movement across the state has become smoother, and rural areas are now part of the larger development conversation,” he said.

Onuokaibe equally thanked the Chairman of Nkanu East LGA, Sydney Edeh, for appointing Mburubu sons and daughters into leadership positions.
