The Nigerian Navy has said the purported ongoing admission process into Nigerian Navy College of Health Sciences Offa in Kwara State is fake.
Director, Naval Information, Commodore Aiwuyor Adams-Aliu disclosed this in a statement over the weekend.
Daily Sun reports that a poster containing details of purported ongoing admission process into the institution has been circulating on social media.
The poster called on prospective students to apply for the National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes of the school.
The poster was purportedly signed by the school’s Commandant, Yohanna Darius, whose rank was misspelt as “Liutenant”.
Sharing a copy of the poster, the naval spokesman said, “This is to notify the general public that all the details on the poster attached are fake.
“The purported ongoing admission process into Nigerian Navy College of Health Sciences Offa are FAKE.
“The Nigerian Navy (NN) hereby warns unscrupulous elements to desist from such acts intended to defraud unsuspecting people.
“The NN also advises the general public to beware of such fake notices.”
He urged the public to always verify any information about admission/recruitments/selections/ into the Nigerian Navy its official channels.
