Convener of the annual Beauty West Africa exhibition, Tradeshow Organisers Nigeria, has expressed cosmetics business in Nigeria can never be affected by Nigeria’s prevailing economic condition, while stating the market remains a priority for both genders.
The organiser, through her representative, Mr Brad Smith, stated this at the opening of the 3-day show, which commenced on Tuesday, 25th of November to Thursday, 27th at Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Having hosted exhibitors from over 55 countries across the globe, Smith described the initiative as a positive one which will see professionals utilise the window to showcase their products, seek business opportunities, search for trade partners, distributors, manufacturers’ representatives and Nigerian companies looking forward to franchise opportunities.
He, however, said the expo, which clocked 8, has created a huge platform for businesses in Africa to converge and exchange ideas bordering on trends, innovation and the place of technology in the fast-evolving beauty and cosmetic value chain.
Stressing further, Smith hinted that the country’s economy has never hindered sales of the product from inception.
“As you can see, business is moving fast, and lots of exhibitors are trooping into the hall. The economy has nothing to do with sales for it’s obvious cosmetics is a necessity for the masses. We have, through this exhibition, created powerful connections that make a huge impact – shaping industries, supporting communities and driving business.”
“Nigeria has been a strong rallying point for the biggest expo on the continent, bringing together players in the value chain from all part of the continent to showcase the challenges in the industry as well as provide a platform for business owners and regulators to tackle the hurdles that needs to be surmounted to drive the growth of the business.”
“This show has also paid off exhibitors. It has given them direct access to the market, opportunity to offer competitive pricing , and engage with potential partners, investors and those looking forward to tapping into evolving trends that would make them the leaders of the market. The prevailing economy conditions has not had any negative impact on the expo as the number of exhibitors continental to spike annually,’ he stated.
Exhibitors who derived pleasure flaunting their goods and services include Sora Cosmetics, Aziza Cosmetics, Whiz Laboratories, Icona London, amongst others.
