- Lists of appointees now hit about 300

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has announced new appointments of 287 political appointees for the remaining three years of his administration.
Secretary to the Borno State Government (SSG), Hon Bukar Tijjani in a statement said Gov Zulum approved the appointment of the 287 persons as Senior Technical Assistants (STA), Senior Special Assistants (SSA), Special Assistants (SA) and Chairmen and members of various boards, agencies and commissions in line with Section 208(2)d of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended.
A total of 81 persons made the list of Senior Special Assistants (SSA) while 78 people were appointed as Special Assistants (SA).
Others include chairmen and members of boards for government agencies and organizations.
The SSG said the governor congratulated the appointees and expressed hope to see their contributions for the development of Borno State.
The new appointment bring the number of political appointees in the second tenure of Gov Zulum to about 300.
