Fast rising comedian, Chima Raphael aka Chimaraph, is set to stage the inaugural edition of his comedy show tagged: ‘Chimaraph In The Line Of Duty’.
The show, which holds at Throne of Grace, Surulere, Lagos on Sunday, March 3, 2019, will feature comedy performances from Chimaraph alongside veteran rib crackers like Yaw, Funnybone, Senator, MC Abbey, Koffi, Woli Arole and others.
Speaking on the highly anticipated show, Chimaraph said: “I don’t want to do a comedy concert where loads of comedians will come to perform and there will be nothing really for me to offer to my fans as the host of the show. I have created enough materials and original jokes that I will perform on that day. It will not just be like any comedy show where the host thanks everyone, the sponsors and then goes back. For me, a comedy special is supposed to be about the host of the show.”
When asked what fans should expect on the day, the comedian said the show is going to be about him. “It is going to be a total experience of the Chimaraph brand. This edition is the ‘Laugh Communion’ and we are going to serve an overdose of laughter. The idea is for people to come and have a good laugh. We are going to bring comedy in its original form. It will be less music and more comedy,” he declared.
