Music is a unifying force that can be found in the most basic form. And without a well-coordinated squad, there exists no music.

We were drawn to an inspiring story after noticing an absolute stunner who’s name is on Nigerians’ top lips. As such, an artist with a lot of confidence enthralled our curiosity. As his music becomes a playback jam, we might as well applaud his confidence.

Owolabi Oluwasegun, better known as X-Lyte, an Afropop singer and songwriter, announced the release of his debut Extended Play, titled “My Last EP,” a while back.

The EP was released on November 16th and is available on all platforms, so X-Lyte keeps up his pace.

It has got a substantial number of downloads and plays across all digital platforms. His rhythm, melody, eloquent songwriting, and undeniable energy are all featured prominently in the sixteen-minute, six-track project.

In an interview with X-Lyte, he explains why he made the EP, and it seemed like a reason that anyone could understand.

He claims: “The title of this EP was prompted by the numerous obstacles I faced in my urge for recognition in the music industry. I think I have a good rhythm and sound, and I’d like the rest of the world to hear me. If I don’t get recognized this time, I may have to give up music and concentrate on other things “…

Meanwhile, the EP features an approach and subsequent pieces of music with a slightly elevated beat that causes you to nod your head in unison.

X-Lyte elaborates on his songs, insinuating that he dared to be exceptional by trying out distinct melodies before dropping a mashup jam. He claims that working on his EP has indeed been extremely transformative for him, as he was in an unimaginable state.

Finally, X-Lyte is extremely passionate about making music, which he regards as a gift from nature and a calling that he must answer. However apart from music, he owns and operates a range of businesses, and he is always on the lookout for new entrepreneurial activities in Africa.
