Oluseye Arowolo recently launched two Books, Thoughts and Musings and My Life of Grace, My Story of Providential, to mark his 50th birthday celebration. Thoughts and Musings contains 116 chapters with 358 pages. Oluseye, in his book, describes life as a puzzle that stresses us with its many unanswered or unanswerable questions.
The writer sees writing as the best way to pass across his thoughts to others, therefore, he pen down these two books to the public. In the first chapter, the writes about Nigeria as a country. The second book, My Life of Grace, takes stock of his life of providental interventions, which has helped in shaping his life and the experiences of his past life before attaining 50 years. He affirms in the book that life is not always what happens to us, but what attitude we give to it and the resilience with which we face it.
Indeed, it was pomp and pageantry at the book launch as music filled the air, and the guests, dressed in their beautiful attire, were full of admiration for the author. The event kicked off with a thanksgiving service, where Pastor Rotimi admonished the audience of the need to appreciate God at all times.
Rotimi, who ministered, admonished the audience that, if they had not gone through challenges, they would not have learnt to trust God the more, but with the challenges, God would provide grace for us to overcome. He called on the people to get born again, because they needed the grace of God in their lives, and living a successful life could only come through the grace of God.
Speaking at the event, Olori Bernitha Agboge described the 50th years of Oluseye as a time for growth and fulfilment and a time to remember what he had passed through.
She also described the celebrant as one who had touched a lot of lives, one who others could trust, which explains why friends turned out to celebrate him. “One can actually close their eyes and go to bed, and what he tells you, he does them, too.”
