Expressions of joy, gratitude reverberate across Nasarawa

In a remarkable display of unity and jubilation, the streets of Nasarawa State came alive on Tuesday as residents from all walks of life, including women, children, youth, and the elderly, poured out to celebrate the hard-fought victory of Emmanuel Ombugadu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the tribunal.
The atmosphere was electrified with joy and a palpable sense of triumph as people gathered in various local government areas to mark this historic moment in the state’s political landscape.
One couldn’t help but notice the sea of women adorned in black attire, their faces beaming with happiness, as they expressed their gratitude to a higher power for answering their prayers. Their faith in Emmanuel Ombugadu’s cause had been rewarded, and their celebrations were a testament to the resilience of the women of Nasarawa State.
In Lafia, the state capital, residents around Ombi one and two broke into spontaneous songs of victory, with Mr. Suleiman Labaran capturing the essence of the moment, stating, “This is a victory for democracy.” The streets echoed with cheers and chants, as the community came together to celebrate the triumph of their chosen representative.
Akwanga, the hometown of the governor, witnessed an overwhelming turnout of over 2000 people who converged to join in the jubilation. The scenes were nothing short of spectacular, as the community celebrated a victory that resonated deeply with their aspirations.
Keffi, Karu, and Nasarawa Toto, the hometown of the deputy governor, were not left out of the festivities. These localities joined in the euphoria, emphasizing the widespread support for Emmanuel Ombugadu and the PDP’s triumph at the tribunal.
According to the D-G Ombugadu campaign council, Mr. Mike Omeri stressed that the celebration was not just a political victory; it was a triumph of the people’s voice and their unwavering belief in the democratic process.
“The jubilation that swept across Nasarawa State sent a powerful message – that democracy remains alive and well, and the people’s voice can still shape the destiny of their beloved state.”
“As the celebrations continued into the night, it was clear that Nasarawa State had experienced a momentous event that would be etched in its history.” He added.
“The victory of Emmanuel Ombugadu was not just a win for one political party; it was a win for the people, a testament to their hopes, and a reaffirmation of the enduring spirit of democracy in Nasarawa.”
