Staff and management of Starfield College, Fagba, Lagos, have sent forth, 88 graduating students in a grand style and backed it up with words of God to guide their future endeavours.

He said: “When we started the year, there was anxiety over soaring prices of goods and services. Inflation was at an all-time high. We have survived it all and are still standing “Kampe”.

Eigbe added that in the education sector, the external examiners of the students became their oppressors releasing results that created panic and more worries.

“The power of God has humbled them, and soon they were on their knees apologizing for all their wrongdoings. Students were smiling again. Our HODs have made the impossible possible,” he noted.

The director appreciated the commitment of teachers to the graduating students’ education and welfare, stating, “in the face of the examination challenges, you never gave up. Your support saw the children through, may God continue to bless you, these children will bring you honour and successes,” he said.

Eigbe acknowledged parents and stressed that the well they are getting the resources to finance the education of the graduating students will never dry up.

“Our graduating students, you have always shown that challenges only make you stronger. I am sure you will carry this mindset forward as you go for higher studies.”

Eigbe said he is sure the other students have gained something the outgoing students’ success story and hoped they would be ready to write their own story when the time comes.

In his speech, the college Principal, Mrs. Oyinloye, said, the thanksgiving is worth celebrating because the Lord has been wonderful to Starfield College.

The principal stated that when the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) wanted to misbehave, God took control and at the end the results of the 88 students were outstanding.

Pastor Ogadi of Christ Elect Pentecost, in his sermon to the graduating students and staff of the college, said, that it is always important to give thanks to God to attract his grace and favour.

Pastor Ogadi tasked the students and staff to cultivate the habit of giving thanks to God and appreciates his wonderful deed in their lives.

“As you begin to thank God and appreciate God for every step you take in life, for every bit of progress you make in life, God will come to do more in your life. And you will begin to act to attract the presence of God.

“So the best way to attract the presence of God to your side is to cultivate the habit of thanksgiving and showering of appreciation to God. Thanksgiving provoked God’s blessing,” Ogadi noted.
