… As Enugu Antelopes seek maximum three points

BY PAUL EREWUBA

Wikki Tourists of Bauchi, will today, at the Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi, engage Rangers in their Week 25 game to see who goes home with the three points at stake.

Indeed, the match is expected to be explosive and entertaining at the same time, as both teams aim to be on top of the log.

Wikki Tourists are on top with 41 points while Rangers sit on second position with 39 points.

Last week, Wikki Tourists tasted a bitter pill when Plateau United beat them at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos during their Match Day 24 encounter.

Second half goals from substitutes, Daddy Francis and Anayo Ogbonna, gave all three points to United at the packed Rwang Pam Stadium.

It was all United in every department of the game from the blast of the whistle till the end. Wikki never came to the party, and joint-league top scorer, Godwin Obaje, obviously forgot his scoring boots in Bauchi as they set every foot wrong while United dominated play.

Coach of Plateau United, Zachary Baraje, had to dig into his bag of experience, as he made two quick substitutions and the first one paid off almost immediately.

Wikki never posed any threat, as they were never in the game.

But joint-league top scorer, Godwin Obaje has dismissed their not too impressive run against Plateau United with a wave of the left hand, saying a repeat will not occur this weekend.

Speaking ahead of ttis encounter, Obaje said although it would be a tough match, they have learnt a hard lesson from their last game against Plateau United, and would not make the same mistakes against the Antelopes.

Obaje, who said he was aiming at being the highest goal scorer of the season, insists that Rangers will surely bite the dust when they come calling.
