National Coordinator of Awareness Group, Mr Hamzat Araoye Balogun, has told members of the opposition coalition, under the aegis of the African Democratic Coalition (ADC), to perish their dreams and ambition of wresting power from the incumbent President, Bola Tinubu. He said the ADC can’t stop Tinubu who is a moving train until the seat is vacant in the 2031 presidential election.
He described the coalition as a disjointed opposition party, with no ideological clarity to stop the moving train. To buttress his points, he said some state governors had already seen the handwriting on the wall, disembarked from the group and joined the moving train (President Tinubu).
He reminded the opposition ADC that two years teething challenges as of now are insecurity and the forex in the market, but the government is working assiduously to secure some states from the bondage of Boko Haram, terrorists and other vices, threatening the existence of the country, which the previous governments could not tame.
The administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda is successfully succeeding in other sectors and other strata of the economy. But with time, the country will bounce back to normalcy.
He, therefore, appealed to opposition members to stop hanging up and team up with their bigwigs and Nigerians across the country to find a solution to the perennial challenges, adding that their plan would only strengthen Tinubu’s chances.
