The second edition of the D’BIO Wellness and Selfcare Summit is set to hold from September 24 to 25, 2025, at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Alausa, Ikeja. The two-day gathering will bring together healthcare practitioners, wellness experts, and selfcare advocates to explore the role of selfcare in promoting optimal health and wellbeing.

Convener of the summit, Dr. Monica Eimunjeze, explained that the event aims to drive positive healthcare outcomes by enhancing health literacy, empowering individuals, and easing pressure on the healthcare system through the promotion of selfcare.

“We have renowned experts across disciplines as moderators and panelists who will drive engaging discussions around topical areas of the theme and sub-themes such as selfcare in the workplace and selfcare, climate change and your health,” she said.

The maiden edition of the summit, according to Eimunjeze, attracted over 750 participants, including more than 200 captains of industry. It provided a platform for stakeholders to network and deliberate on the theme, “Advancing Wellness and Selfcare: Prospects and Perspectives.”

This year’s edition, themed, “Selfcare as a Driver of Optimal Health and Wellness,” is expected to draw even more distinguished personalities. Among them is Chairman of Fidson Healthcare PLC, Mr. Fidelis Ayebae, who will chair the occasion, while Chief Executive Officer, Hazon Holdings and Co-founder of Wellness HMO, Dr. Victor Afolabi, will deliver the keynote address.

The summit will also feature exhibitions showcasing wellness and selfcare products and services. Organizers say it will serve as a platform to exchange knowledge and strategies on staying informed, unlocking employee potential, and building resilience through coping strategies and proactive selfcare practices.

Eimunjeze emphasised that prioritizing selfcare is essential not only for improving personal wellbeing but also for mitigating the impacts of climate change and creating a healthier, more sustainable future. The event is open to the public.
