Rev (Mrs) Eyoanwan Otu, the wife of the Governor of Cross River State, has said the Otu administration will not leave vulnerable children behind.
She made this known during a Street Party for Vulnerable Children as part of activities to mark her 60th birthday.
Speaking at the event, which was sponsored by Nugi Tech and the Uniters Hub Foundation, Rev. Otu said “I want you to know that you are loved. Do not look at your present condition to conclude over your future. By the grace of God, your lives will be transformed.
“This is the Season of Sweetness, and His Excellency, the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Otu, has promised to run an all-inclusive government, so you will not be left behind.”
Also speaking Mercy Uke a representative of Nugi Tech said her organisation will offer scholarships and empower the children.
“To honour our beloved mother, Nugi Technologies is committed to sponsoring six children throughout their secondary school education.
“Additionally, we’ll provide technology training at our specialized tech school. Our goal is to empower these children, shaping brighter futures for them”, she said.
Meanwhile, a football match between Marian Market Women and Watt Market Women was also held as part of the activities for the 60th birthday.
The match took place at the UJ Esuene stadium, Calabar members of both markets participated in their numbers.
The governor’s wife in a statement made available by Faith Okon, her press secretary said the women ‘were an amazing part of our journey from the campaigns to the elections, you cannot be forgotten.
“As much as it lies within me, when there is any form of empowerment, you will be duly informed and carried along.”
