Financially troubled Villarreal has admitted it will consider selling Samuel Chukwueze for a good offer.
The 24-year-old winger has so far been linked with Real Madrid and AC Milan and has just a year left of his contract with the La Liga outfit.
Villarreal CEO, Roig Negueroles said the club would look at a good offer for the Nigeria star.
“We don’t want to do anything drastic. But if we don’t reduce wage costs, we will have to sell players,” he told Marca.
“It is far from a normal situation but at the same time we do not want to sell anyone below their value.
“Samuel is a fantastic guy who has been with us for many years. We know that he would like to play for a bigger club and if there is an opportunity this summer we will have to sit down and discuss.
“But it will require a good offer to sell him, he still has one year left on his contract.”
