Multi-award-winning broadcaster, television anchor and mental health advocate, Victory Wilson, has emerged as the MTN Media Innovation Programme (MIP) Fellow of the Year 2026, in recognition of her transformative impact in media and social advocacy across Africa.
The prestigious award celebrates Wilson’s outstanding use of media as a platform for mental health awareness, youth empowerment, emotional wellbeing and impactful storytelling.
Wilson, a senior television anchor with Silverbird Television and host of The Victory Wilson Show, has gained widespread acclaim for leveraging broadcast media to challenge mental health stigma, inspire healing conversations and promote personal growth among viewers across the continent.

Her flagship programme, The Victory Wilson Show, focuses on trauma recovery, emotional wellness and self-development. The show airs every Sunday at 6:30pm (WAT) on DSTV Channel 252, GOTV Channel 121, StarTimes Channel 109 and YouTube, reaching millions of viewers.
She is also the Executive Producer and host of The Amazing Kids Show, regarded as one of Nigeria’s largest children-focused talent and development platforms, broadcast live every Saturday at 10am on Rhythm FM and Silverbird Television.
Beyond broadcasting, Wilson has built a reputation as an international event compere, author and media leader. She currently serves as Vice President of the MTN MIP Alumni and authored the book, Mastering The Art of Presentation.
Over the years, she has garnered several recognitions within and outside Nigeria. Her accolades include TV Presenter of the Year 2023 by the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON), Media Personality of the Year 2024 by the Ladies in Media Organisation, Ghana, Event Host of the Year 2025 by ELOY Global Awards, and recognition by the Nigerian British Chamber of Commerce.
She has also received the Nigeria Emerging Leaders Award 2024, earned a global recognition award at the Global Entrepreneurship Festival in Ghana, and was named among the Top 30 Most Influential Voices on Radio by Radiocast Nigeria, as well as one of the Top 100 Inspirational Nigerian Women. Wilson is equally a member of Forbes BLK.
Reacting to the award, Wilson expressed appreciation, describing the honour as validation of her mission to deploy media as a force for social good.
“This recognition means a great deal to me. It validates the power of purposeful storytelling and reinforces my commitment to using media as a tool for healing, empowerment, authentic conversations and social change across Africa,” she said.
The MTN MIP Awards celebrate fellows who have demonstrated innovation, leadership and measurable social impact within the media ecosystem.
Wilson’s emergence as Fellow of the Year underscores the growing role of mental health advocacy within African media and reinforces her standing as one of the continent’s leading voices championing social change through broadcasting and communication.
