Former Imo State Governor Achike Udenwa has lamented that his 1998 political structure, “Redemption”, hasn’t fulfilled its envisioned goals.

Speaking on Friday during a get together of the group he hosted in Owerri, Udenwa noted that despite the group’s potential, councillors who could have become governors, speakers, or senators were yet to reached those heights. “It’s not yet over,” he assured, urging members to stay focused and determined.

The ex-governor emphasized Redemption’s collective vision, saying “whatever you want out of Redemption is what it will be , it’s not about me, but us.” He praised the group’s growth from underdogs to a force in state politics.

Udenwa who also announced his retirement from active politics encouraged young members to be purposeful, attributing his administration’s success to participatory democracy principles.
