Karoline Leavitt, White House Press Secretary, has announced that United States President Donald Trump will address the nation on the ongoing battle with Iran on Wednesday night.

Leavitt revealed this in a Tuesday evening post on the social media platform X.

“On Wednesday night at 9 PM ET, President Trump will give an Address to the Nation to provide an important update on Iran,” she said.

The US-Israeli crisis over Iran has already entered its second month, with recent polling indicating widespread dissatisfaction with the fighting.

Trump has been mulling deploying American forces on Iranian soil to seize the country’s highly enriched uranium, which might last several days.

The mission would most likely be carried out by elite special operations forces to extract radioactive material.

It would also put US personnel far inside Iranian territory, leaving them vulnerable to Iranian short-range missiles and drones.

On Tuesday, the US military attacked an Iranian city where one of the country’s main nuclear sites is located.

Last June, the Isfahan Nuclear Energy Centre was among three facilities that were hit by US B-2 bombers and a submarine.
