Tor Tiv approves selection of Ter Tiv in FCT, across Nigeria

In a bid to stabilise and foster a harmonious coexistence among his subjects resident in other states of the federation, the paramount ruler of the Tiv Nation, the Tor Tiv, Orcivirigh, Prof. James Ayatse, has affirmed the selection of Uter to oversee and uphold the tradition and cultural practices of the Tiv kingdom in their states of residence.

In view of this, the Tor Tiv officially presented Certificates and Letters of Introduction to the authorities (government, traditional and security outfits) of the states involved for proper recognition and inclusiveness of the Uter in the affairs of those states.

Performing the ceremony in his Palace in Gboko, on Friday, the Tor Tiv admonished them to be good ambassadors, eschew excess love for money, greed and lust, which are vices that destroy human integrity.

He encouraged them to demonstrate the truth and peaceful virtues, which Tiv people are known for and be law abiding citizens of the states they reside in.

The Tor Tiv stressed that their affirmation was to unite all Tiv in those states to be under one umbrella to address the challenge of recognition and non inclusiveness facing them so as to enjoy the benefits the states governments provide for the citizens.

A statement signed by the Special Assistant to Tor Tiv on Media and ICT, Freddie Adamgbe and made available to newsmen said a total of 19 Uter from 19 states, who received the Letters of Affirmation and introduction include: Chief Urbanus Uchersuwe Ukor-ture ( Ter Tiv Adamawa State), Chief Emmanuel Aondoakaa Hiar (Ter Tiv, Zamfara State), Chief Ande Dzever (Ter Tiv, Borno State), Chief Gabriel Yuhwa ( Ter Tiv, Katsina State).

Others are Chief Martins Terlumun Fela (Ter Tiv, Sokoto State), Chief Mchiayum Apevershigh (Ter Tiv Ebonyi State), Chief Solomon Shula (Ter Tiv, Imo State), Chief Joseph Aneh (Ter Tiv, FCT), Chief Peter Teryila Agber (Ter Tiv, Ogun State), Chief Samuel Terumbur Orkeghen ( Ter Tiv, Bayelsa), Chief Raphael Terfa Agba (Ter Tiv, Abia State).

Others were Chief Iorvaa I Geofrey Esq ( Ter Tiv, Nasarawa State), Chief David Ihom Goon ( Ter Tiv, Enugu State), Chief Silvanus I Bino ( Ter Tiv, Kaduna State), Chief Amos Ihom Alogo ( Ter Tiv, Kano), Chief Moses Chinor Vor ( Ter Tiv, Kogi), Chief Emmanuel Aker (Ter Tiv, Kebbi State), Chief Engr James Iyongohime Dogoh (Ter Tiv, Rivers) and  Chief Air Commodore Jonathan Iortyer Afeah rtd (Ter Tiv Lagos State).
