As the federal government continues to implement tough economic reforms, Nigerians have been urged to remain patient and hopeful that the policies will yield long-term benefits.

In a statement issued in Abuja, the Director General of the Door to Door Movement for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr. Blessing Agbomhere, said the administration is committed to reviving the economy and delivering democratic dividends to all Nigerians.

“No responsible government will sit idly and watch its citizens suffer,” Agbomhere said. “This administration, under President Bola Tinubu, is working tirelessly to reposition the economy, even if the process is painful at the moment.”

He described recent reforms — including subsidy removal, a new tax regime, and the floating of the naira — as difficult but necessary steps towards economic stability.

“These are decisions that may not be popular now, but they are guaranteed to revive and strengthen the Nigerian economy in the long run,” he added.

Agbomhere appealed to Nigerians to trust in the Renewed Hope agenda, saying it is driven by “experienced economic managers not just at the federal level, but also at the sub-national levels.”

He also warned those he described as enemies of the state to “desist from stirring up negative emotions” against the government, vowing that “we will soon begin to expose them and the motives behind their actions.”

Drawing a metaphor, Agbomhere said: “The basis of life is that a seed, after being sown, dies and then sprouts back to life in order to grow to maturity and produce fruits for harvest. That is where Nigeria is today.”

He reaffirmed the group’s commitment to supporting the administration and helping communicate its developmental strides to the public ahead of the 2027 elections.
