President Bola Tinubu on Thursday convened a high-level security meeting at the State House in Abuja to receive fresh briefings on the country’s security landscape from senior military and intelligence officials.
The session, held in the President’s office, was part of routine reviews of the national security architecture and ongoing operations to counter terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other threats. Service chiefs and agency heads outlined recent developments in their areas and described steps being taken to strengthen coordination and operational response.

Present at the meeting were Defence Minister General Christopher Musa (rtd); National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu; Chief of Defence Staff General Olufemi Oluyede; Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant-General Waidi Shaibu; Chief of Defence Intelligence Lieutenant-General Emmanuel Akomaye Undiandeye; Special Adviser on Homeland Security Major-General Adeyinka Famadewa; Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed; and Director-General of the Department of State Services Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi.
