President Bola Tinubu condoled with Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi, following the passing of his mother, Maryam Namadi.
Hajiya Maryam, a revered figure and matriarch of the Namadi family, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.
The late Hajiya Maryam was laid to rest in her hometown of Kafin Hausa, in accordance with Islamic rites. Her death has left a profound impact on her family and the community she served throughout her life.
According to a statement issued by Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a message of sympathy to Governor Namadi and his family, President Tinubu extolled the virtues of Hajiya Maryam, highlighting her dedication to community service and philanthropy.
He noted that her efforts had significantly contributed to the welfare of many in her community, and he encouraged the family to continue her legacy by engaging in charitable activities that reflect her spirit of giving.
“While we mourn the loss of Hajiya Maryam, let us also celebrate her life and the enduring good name she has left behind,” President Tinubu stated.
“I urge you to find solace in the memories of her kindness and generosity. Immortalizing her legacy through continued acts of service will ensure that her spirit lives on.”
