President Bola Tinubu has commissioned the reconstructed Arab/Gbazango Road in Kubwa, Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), saying the project validates his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda and its commitment to delivering visible infrastructure across the capital and the nation.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abass, delivered the president’s address on his behalf at the commissioning ceremony held on Friday.
Tinubu described the occasion as the culmination of 31 days of project commissioning by the FCT Administration to mark the third anniversary of his government.
“This ceremony is not just about opening a road. It is a practical validation of our Renewed Hope Agenda,” the President said in the speech read by the Speaker. He recalled promises to turn governance into “visible, impactful results,” and said the completed road stands as evidence of that pledge.
Tinubu stressed that the administration’s development agenda targets inclusion across Abuja — not only the city centre, but also suburbs, outskirts and satellite towns such as Kubwa. He said the road would reduce commuting times, ease traffic congestion along the busy Kubwa axis and link residents more safely to the Outer Northern Expressway (ONEX).
Wike on his part said, President Tinubu’s large-scale infrastructure delivery in Abuja, has effectively silenced political critics, arguing that visible performance is the best response to opposition.
According to him, the volume of projects delivered under the current administration has changed governance in the FCT and given residents clear proof of government action.
“If there are opponents of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with what you have done in their lifetime, they cannot do anything again. If they go to the people of Gbazango, the people will ask them, ‘When you were there, what did you do?’ This is what we call ‘operation show your report card.’ If you call Tinubu today, he will show you his report card on the satellite towns and on the city. Abuja is shut down. Abuja is closed,” Wike declared.
