President Bola Tinubu has approved the redeployment of 16 serving Permanent Secretaries across various ministries and agencies in the Federal Civil Service.
The redeployment was announced in a circular dated 19th November 2025, signed by Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, and it takes effect immediately from yesterday with the directive that the handover and takeover processes be completed on or before November 26. This move is part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and service delivery by strategically repositioning senior civil servants.
Those redeployed include Funsho Adebiyi who moves from Works to Transportation, Ibrahim Kana from Aviation and Aerospace Development to the General Services Office (OSGF), and Yakubu Kofarmata from Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction to Aviation and Aerospace Development. Nko Esuabana has been moved from Innovation, Science and Technology to Women Affairs, while Richard Pheelangwa shifts from Water Resources and Sanitation to Defence.
Raymond Omachi transitions within Finance from Special Duties to the Finance Ministry to understudy Lydia Jafiya. Deborah Odoh moves from the Service Policies and Strategies Office (OHCSF) to Budget and Economic Planning, and Olubunmi Olusanya from Youth Development to Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.
Other News
Others include Emeka Vitalis Obi, now heading the Federal Civil Service Commission after serving in Petroleum Resources, and Fatima Mahmood moving from Career Management Office (OHCSF) to Economy Marine and Blue to understudy Olufemi Oloruntola.
Emanso Umobong moves from Cabinet Affairs Office (OSGF) to Water Resources and Sanitation, and Maryam Keshinro from Women Affairs to Youth Development.
Ndiomu Ebiogeh has been redeployed from the Federal Civil Service Commission to Innovation, Science and Technology, Nadungu Gagare from Economic & Political Affairs (OSGF) to Communications Innovation and Digital Economy, Oyekunle Nwakuso from Service Welfare Office (OHCSF) to Petroleum Resources, and Adeladan Olarinre from Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy to Works.
The statement says the redeployment reflects the administration’s commitment to enhancing operational efficiency, promoting innovation, and ensuring effective service delivery in line with the government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and strategic governance objectives.
