The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Chubby Zion Industries Limited, Chief Peter Chibuike Orogwu; and the Managing Director of Sunbeth Global Concepts Limited, Mr. Olasunkanmi Owoyemi, have expressed appreciation over their emergence as winners of The Sun Awards 2025.

Orogwu and Olasunkanmi will be honoured alongside 36 other Nigerians and two corporate organisations at The Sun Awards ceremony holding at the Expo Convention Centre, Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, on January 31, 2026.
They spoke separately in Lagos when the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of The Sun Publishing Limited, Onuoha Ukeh, led a team to present their nomination letters.
Orogwu emerged winner in the Industrialist of the Year category, while Olasunkanmi will be honoured as Entrepreneur of the Year 2025.
While receiving the letter, Orogwu expressed delight and gratitude to the management of The Sun Publishing Limited, stating that the award will encourage him to achieve more success in his line of business.
He acknowledged that the reasons given for his selection for the award were the true reflection of his business life.
Orogwu said: “I thank the management of The Sun Publishing Limited for finding me worthy to be among the 2025 nominees and eventual winners of this great award.
“I’m even short of words, but I give God the glory. This award is going to energise me to work harder.”
Earlier, The Sun MD had pointed out that Orogwu had a humble beginning and rose to become a notable businessman.
Ukeh said: “In 1995, when you relocated to Lagos in search of better opportunities, it was not a bed of roses. The early years were marked by struggles. These formative experiences built the foundation for your entrepreneurial spirit.
“After those years of struggle and determination, you have become a notable businessman with interests in commodities within Nigeria and other African countries.”
He recalled that with an initial savings of ₦19,000 and support from his brother, Orogwu ventured into the production of alcoholic beverages.
Ukeh said: “Your company, Chuby-Zion Industries Limited, has grown progressively to become a major indigenous producer of alcoholic beverages and herbal liquor, serving millions of customers both home and abroad. Your products quickly gained popularity, expanding into markets across Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, South Africa, and beyond.
“Those who know you better attest that your quest for perfection has brought the company to its present height. Its product line has experienced a remarkable growth over the past years, and positive customer reviews abound.
“Among the notable brands by Chuby-Zion Industries are the popular Baby Oku Bitters, Dorobucci Bitters, Jo Gadaffi Bitters, Spena Whiskey, Fire Bitters, Long Jack Bitters, and Ghana Native Gin, among others.
“Through innovation and strategic investments, you have diversified your portfolio of investments into real estate, acquiring luxury property in exclusive locations such as Banana Island, Victoria Island, and other places in Lagos.”

On his part, Olasunkanmi praised The Sun Publishing Limited for finding him worthy to receive the award.
He pledged to sustain the efforts for which The Sun Board of Editors found him worthy to be honoured among other distinguished Nigerians and corporate organisations.
The Sun MD, while presenting the letter confirming his nomination, described Olasunkanmi as a dynamic and forward-looking agricultural entrepreneur who, since founding Sunbeth Global Concepts Limited in 2017, has rapidly transformed it into one of Nigeria’s leading agro-commodity exporters.
Ukeh said: “From a thriving family business, Sunny Owo Ventures, you drew inspiration and learned the ropes of cocoa trading.
“You combine academic strength, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to sustainability to reshape Nigeria’s agro-export landscape.
“Sunbeth Global Concepts has achieved striking milestones, commanding a substantial share of Nigeria’s cocoa export trade. Under your watch, the company has exported thousands metric tonnes of raw cocoa beans to major chocolate manufacturers around the world.”
The Sun MD also pointed out that part of the success story of the company was that it maintains a wide network of hundreds of local buying agents and regional merchants to source raw materials efficiently across Nigeria.
He said: “Above all, you are a powerful example of young leadership in agribusiness: turning a family startup into an export powerhouse; combining profit with purpose, and helping advance Nigeria’s goal of reducing dependence on oil through sustainable agriculture.
