As the Nigerian music industry continues to soar and establish a foothold in the international music space the narrative has begun to change. Odera Ezeani Godfrey popularly known as Deratheboy [the Lagos-based Music Producer, Engineer, Composer & Songwriter] has fast cemented his place as one of the leading forerunners of this global phenomenon.
Deratheboy (Also Known as Dëra) is an enthusiastic music producer and sound engineer. The young producer revealed how it all started and what propelled him to music. Thus his zeal for music had been in born.
It all began as a graphic designer whose creativity was good, and still wanted to do more. While running graphics designing and school activities, Dëra acquired a degree in Mathematics and Statistics. After which discovered his passion for music.
While learning from his story, he breaks the ground by saying; “music is a part of me, and the best way to bring them to life, is to produce more of it”. He further said he got necessary motivations from around, and with an intense capability, he put in hard work to create a hit.
Also, the music producer and mixing engineer, has series of awards both internationally, in his name.
Deratheboy (Also Known as Dëra) also recently partnered with popular brand, ‘SPLICE’ to release his Sound Kit For Producers to access all around the world.
Additionally, Deratheboy has successfully produced for top artistes which includes Bad Bunny, Marcus Mumford, Major lazer, Sauti sol, Joeboy, Oxlade, Patoranking, Teniola, Ceeza milli, to mention a few. Nevertheless, he enjoys hiking, listening to audiobooks and creates beats for songs.
