By Sylvanus Viashima, Jalingo

In the aftermath of Tuesday’s windstorm that destroyed over a hundred homes in Takum, Taraba, the state governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, has assured residents of the locale that his government will assist in reconstructing their homes.

The SA Media and Digital Communication to the Governor, Mr Emmanuel Bello, disclosed this on Thursday following the governor’s visit to the affected area.

Bello disclosed that before his prompt visit to the affected areas, Governor Kefas first despatched a team of state officials to visit the affected areas, and mandated the field workers to take stock of all the damages and proffer immediate ways to handle the disaster and proffer ways to stop any future occurrences.

While taking physical assessments around some of the affected parts of the city, the governor empathised with victims and offered words of encouragement where he reinstated his desire to rebuild the destroyed homes and bring succour to the victims.
