SuperSand Eagles’ applications for transit visas into the United State of America may have been turned down, if report reaching SportingSun is anything to go by.
It was gathered that the US embassy refused seven players of the national beach soccer team visas.
The players required transit visa to attend the Beach Soccer World Cup in Bahamas.
The US embassy issued visas to five of the twelve Sand Eagles players and four officials.
The five players who were given the transit visa include the captain, Olawale Isiaka, Ibenegbu Ikechukwu, Godspower Igudia, Suleiman Ogodo and Paul Danjuma.
One of the players denied is Abu Azeez who was also denied the Portuguese visa to attend the 2011 World Cup.
The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) was yet to make an official statement on the development.
The Bahamas 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was slated between 27th of this month and 7th of May in Nassau.
Nigeria will slug it out with Japan, Ecuador and Panama in Group D of the tournament.
