Sultan of Sokoto and chairman Islamic Supreme Council of Nigeria, His Eminence, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III has pleaded with the federal government to add Works to the Ministry of Transportation.
The Sultan spoke Wednesday at the closing ceremony of the 15th National Council on Transportation focusing on “Efficiency of Inter-Modalism in Transportation: Panacea for Economic Recovery” in Sokoto state.
He argued that since the road is the most important means of transportation, the Ministry of Transportation ought to take charge of the supervision of the construction of roads.
