Stallion Motors Limited has been named as the winner of the prestigious Motoring World Legacy Auto Investment Award.

The award was presented to the auto company on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the 30th anniversary celebration of Motoring World Communications Limited, held at the Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) Centre, Lagos.

Executive director, Stallion Group, Dr. Harpreef Singh, who received the award on behalf of Stallion Motors, expressed the company’s appreciation for the honour.ɠ

Speaking after the presentation of the award by the former Corps Marshal of the FRSC and president/chairman of Council of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Nigeria, Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi, Singh applauded the publisher and CEO of Motoring World Communications Limited, Mr. Femi Owoeye, for putting the event together.

Singh said, “One thing I will like to talk is about Owoeye. The way he brought us together is like we are the followers, he is like the thread at the nexus which is connecting each and every one of us together. But it is much more than that. This initiative that you started is commendable. I thank you so much for this and for creating this platform for this country. Thank you so much”.

Earlier in his welcome address, Owoeye, had explained that all the award recipients were selected based on their outstanding contributions to the automotive industry.

Owoeye, announced plans to launch a specialised Automotive Journalism Development Programme aimed at grooming the next generation of automotive journalists in Nigeria, as part of activities marking the 30th anniversary of the publication.

The publisher said the initiative was designed to strengthen professionalism, deepen industry knowledge and promote developmental journalism capable of contributing meaningfully to the growth of Nigeria’s automotive sector.

He noted that Motoring World, which has spent three decades reporting and advocating for the automotive industry, would continue to play a pivotal role in advancing the sector through quality journalism and stakeholder engagement

“The Nigerian automotive industry stands today at a defining moment. The opportunities before us are immense, from local vehicle assembly and manufacturing to skills development, technology transfer, electric mobility, road safety, logistics and transportation reforms,” he said.

According to him, unlocking the industry’s full potential would require stronger collaboration among stakeholders, robust policy support and more effective communication across the automotive value chain.

Owoeye also disclosed that Motoring World would intensify its advocacy for policies that encourage local automotive production, industrial development, investment, skills acquisition, technology transfer, road safety and sustainable mobility.

He said the publication would continue to serve as a bridge between policymakers, regulators, manufacturers, investors, operators and consumers in support of industry growth.

In another major announcement, the publisher revealed that Motoring World would resume full quarterly publication of its print magazine following sustained encouragement and support from stakeholders across the country.

“This decision reflects our confidence in the future of the industry and our commitment to providing stakeholders with a credible and authoritative platform dedicated exclusively to automotive and mobility issues,” he stated.

Reflecting on the publication’s three-decade journey, Owoeye expressed gratitude to industry leaders, partners, advertisers, readers and other stakeholders who contributed to its survival and success over the years.

He described the anniversary as a day of thanksgiving, reflection, celebration and renewed commitment to the future of Nigeria’s automotive industry.

Many stakeholders, he noted, stood by the organisation during difficult periods, offered encouragement when the future appeared uncertain and provided opportunities that helped sustain the publication.

Owoeye reaffirmed Motoring World’s commitment to serving as the industry’s voice and advocacy platform, stressing that its mission of promoting automotive sector development remains unchanged.

“Today, we celebrate thirty years of resilience, thirty years of service, thirty years of partnership and thirty years of commitment to the advancement of Nigeria’s automotive industry,” he said.

The anniversary event attracted key players from the automotive industry, government officials, regulators, transport experts, media practitioners and other stakeholders who gathered to celebrate the publication’s contributions to the growth and development of Nigeria’s motoring sector over the past three decades.
